The parallel workshops
When you register for the event, you must choose a workshop. Read more about each of them below.
Understanding how to identify and meet the requirements of specific funding calls is an important skillset for junior researchers.
This session, led by members of the Research Funding unit, will cover technical and strategic aspects of grant writing from postdoc level to that of the emerging independent researcher.
You will learn about
- tools and resources for getting started
- tips for how to read and understand funding calls
- writing tips for the successful application.
As a postdocs you develop many transferable skills that are highly valued. This interactive workshop helps you recognise and articulate your unique competencies using the STAR-method.
At this workshop
- we will explore how these skills can be applied both within and beyond academia
- you will gain tools to reflect your strengths when preparing for job transitions.
Expect a relaxed, interactive session with exercises and peer knowledge sharing.
Facilitators: Trine Møller Nielsen and Iben Treebak, Career Consultants at UCPH.
This workshop session will help you use LinkedIn as a tool to increase your impact, expand your professional networks, and open doors to new opportunities in academia and the health sector.
Expect practical guidance on how to:
- Communicate clearly and effectively
- Find the right people
- Build a sustainable social media routine that works within your daily schedule
The workshop is both for newcomers and for those with prior experience.
Facilitator: Mike Young, former editor of the University Post at the University of Copenhagen. He has spent more than a decade helping scientists make social media work for their research. Since 2016, he has led engaging, hands-on workshops across Europe and online for audiences as far away as Asia, Australia, and the US. His upcoming co-authored book, Social Media for Research Impact (Routledge, February 2026), builds on these experiences.
